Online and Phone Counselling

Online and Phone Counselling

We're able to offer online and phone counselling to anyone who is based in the UK. Distant counselling is a fantastic way of accessing our professional counselling service if you'd prefer not to come to one of our offices. All of our counsellors who offer distant counselling have completed additional training to enable them to offer distant counselling safely and ethically.

Online Counselling

Online counselling, delivered via Zoom, is a great and easy alternative to seeing a counsellor in one of our offices. Because you and your counsellor can still see each other, there are very few differences between online counselling and in-person counselling.

Online counselling takes place from the comfort and safety of your own home, at a time that is suitable for you, with a counsellor who has the training to be able to support you effectively.

One of the most common questions about online counselling is, is it effective? The answer is yes. Online counselling has been growing in popularity over the last few years and has exploded during the COVID-19 pandemic. The majority of clients who have received online counselling have found it beneficial.

Accessing online counselling is really straightforward. Firstly, you need to have access to a computer (or tablet or phone) with a reasonable microphone and webcam. Your internet connection needs to be stable (good enough to stream online shows without buffering), and you need to be able to ensure that you have privacy for your appointments.

If all of that is in place, all you need to do is contact us to refer yourself and we'll arrange an assessment for you.

Phone Counselling

Phone counselling is a great alternative to online counselling. The main difference is that you and your counsellor cannot see each other. Although this changes the counselling slightly because all of the emphasis is placed on what is said and how it is said, phone counselling can still be highly beneficial.

Phone counselling is recommended if you don't have a stable internet connection or talking on the phone means that you can go somewhere more private.

The fees for online and phone counselling are the same as the fees for in-person counselling at our office.
